New Ford Focus, Fiesta and Kuga 2014

The new Focus, the new Fiesta and the new Kuga. The global product strategy, a cornerstone of ONE Ford plan is being successful in all markets around the world. This strategy allows product development to make available to clients from all segments the latest technologies for connectivity, comfort, safety and efficiency in fuel consumption.

New Focus

The Focus has evolved into a new global platform that is defined in its striking design, an advanced level of security equipment and innovative technological features. Such is the case Parking Assist System that reduces driver intervention to a minimum. This technology allows the user to park the vehicle automatically. Once enabled, monitors the road by detecting gaps where the driver can park, either right or left, calculating and executing the necessary steering maneuvers autonomously until the vehicle is parked in parallel.

The new Focus will be manufactured in Argentina. The arrival of the second global platform Pacheco plant required an investment of U $ D 200 million to supply the local market and Mercosur countries. The project involves a significant investment of U $ D 60 million in the development of locally manufactured parts and increased plant capacity Pacheco, a fact which will result in about 300 new jobs. In this way, 100% of the production models will Pacheco Plant belonging to global platforms. 

New Fiesta

Powershift transmission clutches is equipped with two independently acting allowing the time when the engine reaches its maximum torque at a high speed, the next is pre-selected and ready to be connected while avoiding the power loss and contributing to the fuel efficiency. 

New Kuga  

Ford This global crossover is noted for its striking design, versatility, technology and safety equipment. It will feature an innovative tailgate opening "hands free" which demonstrates the latest technology, unprecedented in the industry, and that distinguishes the New Kuga. This mechanism, consisting of additional sensors to open and close the tailgate by a slight movement of the foot below the bumper, just to have the vehicle key nearby.
