The new Jaguar XFR-S was introduced worldwide in the lounge California. This is the fastest sports sedan, powerful and agile done so far by Jaguar. Powered by ETO, a specialized division of Jaguar Land Rover, the XFR-S has a number of specific improvements that affect chassis, body and engine-transmission, which allow you to go a step further in terms of performance, efficiency and sports performance. With its 550 hp, achieved thanks to the 5.0 supercharged V8 engine, coupled with the new eight-speed Quickshift transmission, the Jaguar XFR-S is capable of reaching 100 km / h in just 4.6 seconds, before reaching its top speed of 300 km / h, yes, electronically limited.
The XFR-S features a new lightweight forged alloy wheels 20 inch 'Varuna'. These are half an inch wider in front and an inch wider rear tire compared to the XFR, but not weigh more due to the type of construction. Tires, developed in collaboration with Pirelli exclusively for the XFR-S, are 10 mm wide, with 265/35 front and 295/30 rear. The difference between the rim and the tire width gain has the effect of pre-load on the sidewall to improve maneuverability and steering response without adversely affecting comfort.
The XFR-S has electronic programs that control Adaptive Dynamics System, the Electronic Differential Active and Dynamic Stability Control. Adaptive System Dynamics Jaguar actively controls the vertical movements of the body, the roll and pitch using continuous continuously variable dampers. The system monitors the performance of the driver and the road conditions, adjusting the buffer to 500 times per second to improve stability and agility.
